In BC, physiotherapy treatments are usually Private or covered fully or in part by MSP, ICBC, or WCB or Extended Coverage Plans.
Direct Billing for Extended Coverage
Direct Billing is available for most extended health plans: Pacific Blue Cross, Great West Life, Sunlife, Manulife, Chamber of Commerce, Industrial Alliance, Desjardins, Canada Life, D.A. Townley, Johnson Group, Standard Life, and Maximum Benefits. A doctor’s referral may be required by your plan.
Private Patients
Initial assessment and treatment $85
Subsequent visits $80
Special Rates for Seniors over 65 & Students Available
A doctor’s referral is not required but if you have one please bring it with you.
Please wear gym attire or loose comfortable clothing on your initial visit.
MSP Premium Assistance
MSP partially covers 10 visits per year for people on Premium Assistance.
Clinic charge for MSP Exempt patients is $45 per visit. A doctor’s referral is not necessary but preferred if your doctor has recommended treatment.
ICBC Patients
No fee Once ICBC has approved the claim.
A doctor’s referral is recommended for acceptance of the claim by ICBC.
WSBC WorksafeBC Patients
No charge for accepted claims. A doctor’s referral is not required for the first visit but is required should further treatment be necessary.
RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) and DVA (Department of Veterans Affairs)
No fees required.
